About the Book
The first thing you will need to do to appreciate the unique novelty of the propositions contained in this book, is to look at the Table of Contents below. Then ask yourself where else could you find discussed all of those aspects of how gravity could be created in nature. This theory was developed by Dr Roberts without reference to other person's prior work.
In a single, modern book, Peter Roberts has investigated and reasoned every aspect, laid out his justifications and described with numerous coloured diagrams how it all fits together.
Yet, despite the complexity of the topics covered, the author has concentrated on using the simplest analyses, and always uses clear examples, so that the reader can be confident he/she has the correct grasp of the theory from page 1 to the end of the book.
If you want to be able to say that you know a believable theory for how gravity is created, all you have to do is read this book from beginning to end and then put it on your bookshelf where you can find it easily. That's all.

This modern book is written in simple, non-mathematical English so that it can be read by any person interested in this important subject. The book is fully illustrated with colour photographs, images, and diagrams for clarity of explanation.
The overall purpose of this book is to tell you that there is a new way to think about what gravity is, how it is created in nature, how the Universal Gravitational Field is created and how it controls all matter in the universe.
Having explained and justified the new theory, Peter goes on to extrapolate it to explain how inertia and momentum are created. He presents several chapters in which he speculates on the impact of his new theory on the formation of black holes in general and on the extreme nature of the internal structure of super-massive black holes where inertia and momentum may not exist! There is a chapter examining and critiquing Newton's equation for the calculation of gravitational force, and explaining the flaws contained within it.
This is the first time that a satisfactory, reasoned, theory has been proposed to replace Minkowski's concept of four-dimensional spacetime and to frame gravity in accordance with our known three-dimensional laws of physics. Neither Newton nor Einstein were able to do this. This is the first time that you will be able to visualise gravity and how it works.

Unsolicited testimonials from ordinary scientific readers ranging from school student to PhDs.
“There is probably no natural phenomenon more fascinating and directly relevant to humanity than gravity. Attempts to explain gravity predate the important contributions made by Galileo Galilei, Robert Hooke and mathematical physicist Isaac Newton. However, none of those nor earlier investigators were able to shed light on the underlying cause. Many, certainly not all, astrophysicists now subscribe to Albert Einstein's general relativity theory, but beyond that theory's complex 4-D space-time mathematics there remains wanting the scientific basis for gravitation, an explanation for what exactly draws an apple from the tree toward the center of earth. “GRAVITY - How Gravity is Created" by Dr. Peter Roberts presents a refreshingly new look at the problem, supported by novel and rational explanations ranging from earth to cosmic science. “This book is well written, amply illustrated and well worth reading - Rodney Savidge, PhD, Principal Investigator of the 2009 APEX-Cambium experiment on the International Space Station (ISS).”
“I do think you have in this book a very excitingly new perspective that, of course, is likely to be firstly ignored, then soundly criticized and challenged, but I think it may just be able to withstand those tests. [R.A.S.]
I have reason to believe your theory is credible as well as provable and should be found in the library of every research facility and university where scientists and students are most prone to reading without interruption. (D.W.]
Thank you for the opportunity to read this remarkable work. [H.G.K.]
Newton was reported to have stated that his work was relevant only because he could stand on the shoulders of past giants. Your work is, of course, a step beyond. [H.G.K.]
Congratulations on your publication. We know it was hard work. We are certain that it will contribute to the advancement of the understanding of this great phenomenon of nature and to the development of new technologies. [D.L.M.] Member of The Gravity Club.
I know that your book will be of interest to the general public [G.D.]
I think it's perfect! [P.B.]
I believe you have an effective presentation suitable for any college level student to understand. [D.W.]
This book is really well explained with fine pictures and easy-to-understand vocabulary. I couldn't see any possible improvement. Nice Work. [S.P.]
I like the idea of your proposal as it makes more sense… [W.N.]
What I like the most about your book is your strict logical reasoning. The mechanism of gravitational waves is nicely explained and it fits the observations. It is a good read! [P.T.]
It would be a great textbook for your class. [C.W.]
There is no doubt that because it is so well written and full of interest, it should be well received by the general public. [G.N.]
I hope that your thinking gathers traction, acting as a catalyst in bettering understanding for mankind. [M.D.]
I am half way through your theory and I am enjoying it very much. Finally we may just have a breakthrough that is so much needed. You have dispelled spacetime which is monumental in my view, but think about it—do they really deserve you yet ? No! I would just like to say I magnificently admire your valiant approach and will wholeheartedly follow you whatever you need. You are a hero in my eyes. [A.L.]
Thank you for the book, it really is the new angle of thinking. I think most importantly it should be available to all the readers, especially to students who would think and develop on it more. [N.S.]
I do accept the tenet that the gravitational field creates a drag effect. Not to question whether the effect is real or not, I accept it as a pillar of your work. Your theory is very fertile ground for expanding backwards into field theory. Your principle of drag effect may point to a way of reconciling the trinity of electric, magnetic and gravitational theory. I agree 100% with your observation about Einstein, who understood the limitations of his theories and knew he was plugging in fudge factors to make it work, but then that all got forgotten as the rest became “settled science”. [M.P.S.]
Such a great theory. [M.P.S.]
I have no problem with your theory of gravity - it's an interesting hypothesis, which could well be true. [P.S.]
It's clear that you are entirely persuaded about the correctness of your ideas, and frankly I think they're brilliant and deserve very serious consideration. [R.A.S.]
I am very interested in how you, a civil engineer with an apparent focus on geotechnology, as well as a side interest in languages, came to create a theory that to me, a lowly engineering student, seems to be the Ockham's Razor for modern physics? [J.C.B.]
It is well written and easy to follow, proposing a blindingly obvious and satisfyingly unifying theory, which explains a lot more than past theories of gravitation. (Bear in mind that my physics stops at first year BSc). I really like the way that you can so easily explain the basic principles so early in the book. Including the concept of why there is so much omnidirectional background gravitational wave flux. [N.C.]

The United Kingdom has a fine, centuries-old, tradition of free scientific speech, conducted through the self-printing and dissemination of new, often controversial, inventions and theories. In most instances, in the distant past, this was in the form of privately-funded monographs which were circulated and often presented by the authors at meetings of 'philosophical' societies. Most of the world's fundamental discoveries and developments were published and 'forced' onto a reluctant scientific commumity by private researchers who were convinced of the correctness, importance, and potential value of their work.
Consider the following questions with their obvious answers:
Was Newton's theory of gravitation 'Principia' peer reviewed? Did a team of scientists have to visit the orchard to watch the fabled apple fall? No!
Was the British mathematcian Boole's work on Boolean logic (on which all modern
computer programming is based) peer reviewed? No!
Was the German/Swiss Einstein's 'Special Theory of Relativity' peer reviewed? No!
Were the British scientists Patrick Matthew's 1831 and Alfred Wallace's earlier work and Wallace's subsequent joint 1858 publication with Charles Darwin on species peer reviewed? No!
(Charles Darwin subsequently published his own work using a better 'publicity machine'.)
Was the British Scientist Charles Darwin's 1859 'The Origin of Species' peer reviewed? No!
Was the German Georgius Agricola's 'De re Metallica' peer reviewed in 1556? No!
Was the British Doctor Edward Jenner's invention of vaccination in 1796 and his publication peer reviewed? No!
Today we are blessed with the internet, and so Professor Roberts doesn't have to print his work on paper and hand out a few copies. No, he can do what he does here - put it out on the internet and thus allow anyone who is interested to read it - worldwide!
